Fancy being an extra in World War Z?  The Casting Collective are looking for men and women of all ages, 16 to 99.  The Casting Collective supply extras for feature films and television programmes and are currently casting for  World War Z shooting in Glasgow in August. Their ad states that:  ‘at this stage we can’t divulge too much information about the production but it will be a cinema release with an ‘A’ list cast’ – well, we all know it’s got Brad Pitt in it!

They are  are looking for men and women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds, but particularly those from the following backgrounds: Italian; Irish; Black – African; Black – Afro; Caribbean; Hispanic; Chinese.  I am encouraging my decidedly-Celtic-looking-red-headed-daughters to apply!

Anyone interested must be legally allowed to work in the UK and available to work in August. It could be between one and ten days work. Seemingly good rates of pay are on offer.

If you are interested then go on to Creative Scotland’s website http://opportunities.creativescotland.com to apply online; follow the ‘Urgent Casting Call’ link on the homepage for “MEN AND WOMEN ALL AGES WANTED IN GLASGOW FOR WORLD WAR Z”. You will need to fill in the online form and upload a photo and they will be in touch with casting information as soon as they have it.

For further information you can also contact rob@castingcollective.co.uk, or visit http://www.thecastingcollective.co.uk. The deadline is Sunday 31 July 2011 at 00:00
