Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

The first picture has been released from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I’m not quite sure why this is being reported with such excitement all over the news, but I guess I might as well post it up too. Perhaps there is something interesting in this image of Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) that I’m just missing.

The film, which is based on a book by Seth Grahame-Smith, tells the story of Lincoln’s “true” life story, in which he goes on a rampage against vampires after one kills his mother. Oh yes, and he also fights the vampire’s allies, slave-owners. Of course. Speaking of Grahame-Smith, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies got its third director, Craig Gillespie, last month. Maybe this time things might actually get going. The interest that was provoked when the book of P and P and Zombies first came out does rather seem to have waned though. It will be interesting to see if either film does very well at the box office.
