Virginia, Mexico, Spain, and Moscow are some of the places where multiple events to commemorate the life and works of E.A. Poe will be carried out during 2009, his bicentennial year.

  • Likewise, the exhibit entitled "Poe: Face to Face" will be carried out in the Poe Museum.   • And finally, did anybody know about The Edgards?  These are the awards given by the Mystery Writers of America to honor the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction, television and film. There are different categories; some of the Grand Master Award Winners have been Agatha Christie (1955), Alfred Hitchcock (1973), Daphne du Maurier (1978), John Le Carré (1984), Stephen King (2007) and Bill Pronzini (2008). This year winners will be presented on April 30 in the 63rd Gala Banquet at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City.
